Stingrays at the Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve

Here, are a couple of pictures of Stingrays that Ashley and I saw while hiking at the Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve.  Even though the Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve is surrounded by urban development, a large amount of wildlife uses this area. If you have not visited/hiked at the Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve, it is a great Orange County nature preserve to go hiking and bird watching at, and you can find our trail write-up Here.

  1. Hey Guys! Awesome shots. Where abouts along the trail did you see these guys? I'd love to go check the out!

  2. Evelyn, Thanks for the comment! We saw them on the trail that goes along back bay, just below the Peter & Mary Muth Interpretive Center. We saw 4 different ones when we were there.
