Video of Bobcat at Cuyamaca Rancho State Park

Here, is a video of a Bobcat that we saw while hiking near Stonewall Peak at Cuyamaca Rancho State Park. We were very fortunate to see the Bobcat at Cuyamaca Rancho State Park, which is the third one that Ashley and I have seen while out hiking in Southern California. It was a little windy while we were taking the video and unfortunately once the Bobcat hopped down off the rock and we did not see him again after that point.

  1. Theresa, Thank you for the comment. There are no wolves in Southern California. There have been a few black bears seen in Cuyamaca Rancho State Park in the past, but from what we can tell is there is no established breeding population of black bears in this section of Southern California.

  2. We were there yesterday 11/4/12 and saw so many deer and wild turkeys. We also saw a very large mound of what looked to be bear scat. It was about 50 yards down the trail behind the mine
