This upcoming Saturday, March 12, from 9:00am - 3:00pm will be an access day for Limestone Canyon Wilderness Park. The wilderness access day will mark the debut of a new viewing deck at the Sinks, a stunning geological formation in the park. Come and enjoy a self-guided access in Limestone Canyon. Designated trails will be open for self-guided hiking, biking and equestrian use from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (must enter by 2 p.m.) Trail users are allowed to enter the wilderness trails up to one hour prior to closing time and no later. Park closes at 3 p.m. Youth ages 18 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, distance and level of difficulty dependent on trail. Click HERE to register for the event and get directions. The sinks have also been called the Little Grand Canyon by many who have visited them. The photograph above is from the Irvine Ranch Conservancy Website, their website says it was taken by Steven Francis Photography. We will be visiting this weekend and will do a post on the Sinks.
