Here is some information on the upcoming great American backyard campout at Caspers Wilderness Park next month. This event looks like it should be fun for the whole family.
Join OC Parks, REI and thousands of campers across the country for National Wildlife Federation's Great American Backyard Campout (GABC) on Saturday, June 25.
Celebrate your family’s favorite summertime traditions like sleeping under the stars and telling campfire stories in your backyard, neighborhood park or favorite camping spot. Get outdoors and have some fun!
As part of the “Be Out There Movement”, families are encouraged to get outside and rediscover their connection to the natural world. With the support of local community partners REI and OC Parks, families, schools and communities can make the outdoors an inspiring and exciting place to be.
Caspers Wilderness Park is hosting a Great American Backyard Campout on June 25. Special activities will be offered including ranger-led hikes and campfire programs. REI will teach camping courses at the Tustin and Huntington Beach stores leading up to the GABC. Register online at http://rei.com.
Campsites are first come, first served and spots will fill up quickly. Reserve your campsite online by visiting http://orangecountyparks.reserveamerica.com/. When you arrive at Caspers, let them know you are participating in the GABC.
