7 Year Old Prepares to Climb Mt. Whitney

The Orange County Register had a good article on the front page yesterday about a 7 year old preparing to climb Mt. Whitney. Tyler and his dad will be hiking Mt Whitney next week. It appears from the article that they have done Mt. Wilson, Mt. Lowe, Mt. San Antonio (aka Mt. Baldy), and Mt San Jacinto as training hikes. Mt. Whitney is a great hike with spectacular views. It is also a very strenuous hike if done in one day. Although, 7 years of age might be a little too young to be doing Whitney, we wish them luck on their trip.
