For those of you looking for a fun affordable event for the whole family to do together, the Kids Fishing Derby at Mile Square Regional Park is a great event.
(Fountain Valley, Calif.) – OC Parks, California Department of Fish and Game and United Anglers of Southern California host the anticipated annual Kids’ Fishing Derby at the North Lake at Mile Square Regional Park on Saturday, March 31 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Registration is from 7 to 8:30 a.m.
Kids ages 15 and under fish for free at the Fishing Derby and compete to win multiple prizes for finalists and champions in different age groups. The lake will be stocked with trout just for the derby and fishing clinics will be hosted throughout the event.
A limited quantity of fishing rods will be available for loan. A complimentary barbecue lunch will be served to all who attend.Kids’ Fishing Derby
