If you are looking for a fun way to celebrate Earth Day next weekend, you might want to check out the 22nd Annual Earth Day celebration at the Upper Newport Nature Preserve.
WHAT: Celebrate Earth Day with OC Parks and the Newport Bay Conservancy. The event includes environmental exhibits, a scavenger hunt for all ages, puppet shows, stewardship activities
science discovery booths, arts and crafts, opportunity drawing and free electronic waste recycling courtesy of All Green Electronics Recycling. The Newport Beach Film Festival will showcase environmental film selections throughout the day in the Interpretive Center auditorium. Jason Freddy will provide live musical entertainment, and food will be available for purchase
from the Tamarindo Food Truck.
WHERE: The Peter and Mary Muth Interpretive Center at Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve, 2301 University Drive in Newport Beach (corner of Irvine Ave. and University Drive)
WHEN: Sunday, April 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
