We are sure that many of you have heard about the lost hikers in Trabuco Canyon in the Cleveland National Forest, but for those of you that have not here is the latest information. Two hikers were reported missing in Trabuco Canyon late on Easter Sunday. The hikers were reported missing after calling for help at about 8:30 p.m. on Easter Sunday. Their cell phone battery died during the phone call, and the two had not been heard from since the call. The hikers' vehicle was located at the entrance to
Holy Jim Trail. Inside the vehicle were two phone chargers and a parking pass bought specifically for Sunday. Search and Rescue crews have been searching the area since Sunday night looking for the missing hikers. Additionally, there is an informal
Facebook Page which has been formed for those looking to help in the search for the missing hikers. Here is a link to the story on the
NBC website. Hopefully, they will be found safe and sound very soon.
I've mountain biked in that area and I found the fact that they got lost a bit odd. It reminds us that we need to go out fully prepared for anything.
