This past weekend we had a chance to do some hiking in Caspers Wilderness Park. While hiking at Caspers Wilderness Park we had the chance to watch a bobcat hunting in a meadow and had the chance to get many great pictures. It was the perfect chance encounter and we got to watch him for approximately 5 minutes until he spotted us taking pictures of him from afar (seen in the picture above). One of the true joys of hiking is seeing wildlife in its natural setting! Here are some pictures of the bobcat at Caspers Wilderness Park that we saw. He was probably about twice the size of an average house cat and probably weighed somewhere around 25 pounds.
